The Best Alfa Romeo Giulia To Lease Is:
The diesel 2.2 JTDM-2 190 Speciale 4dr Auto.
We gave it an 8.4 / 10 in terms of value for money compared with other models in the range.
It offers some of the best specification without compromising on the overall cost of a lease. So if you are searching for Alfa Romeo Giulia leasing deals or various car lease offers / cheap car lease deals, this is the best one to go for, in terms of overall value for money.

Car Leasing Guru Score
The Car Leasing Guru scoring system is based on the overall value a particular vehicle offers.
We do not single out specific terms and mileages, instead, we concentrate on the entirety of a lease over multiple terms and mileages to create an overall score.
This score is converted into a meaningful number between 0 and 10 so that you can better understand which vehicle offers the best value. I’ve included the definition for the category the Giulia Speciale sits in, as it got an 8.4 overall.
8.0 to 8.9:
Great – We enthusiastically recommend any vehicle in this category. Seriously impressive value for money; add it to a watchlist and compare against a few other vehicles.

I’d Prefer To Watch A Video!
Sure. Click the video below and I’ll talk you through it. If not, stick around and I’ll explain why the Giulia Speciale is the best one to lease.
Value For Money
The Diesel Speciale model offers the best value for money when you are looking at the entire Alfa Romeo Giulia range. In the simplest sense, I was looking for the lowest possible number at a given age and mileage. In 99% of cases, it’s always going to be a 2 year car lease, with the lowest mileage available. If you want the lowest (monthly) payment, you would be looking for a longer-term such as 4 year lease.
The lowest percentage will show you immediately where the best value is, but you need to cross-check it against the total price of the vehicle, and the standard equipment it has.
For me, there is enough convenience in the options, such as heated front seats, and electric folding door mirrors to warrant the extra £400, but it is entirely at your discretion. [The video explains the specification a lot more].
In this particular case, the Giulia Speciale holds its value better compared with the models around it. (ignoring things like the Quadrifoglio which are twice the price)
Percentage Of List
The ‘percentage of list’ is the difference between the capital cost (OTR price) and the Residual Value (RV). This shows, at a glance, exactly where value is attributed as a percentage. The lower the number, the better the percentage of list. This is usually a good indication of “value for money”. In this particular case however, I would advise that you do not lease the Abarth 124 Spider, and look for an alternative model.
We can see the diesel models on the bottom left, and the petrol models on the bottom right, with the various prices attached to those vehicles.
On face value each percentage is reasonable when you compare them against each other, being around 30% or so on a 24-month term (2 year lease). However, we need to corroborate that percentage against the On The Road Price (above), which in the quadrifoglio’s case is 30% of £63,565. So over a 24m lease / 10,000 miles per year, that’s £19,470, compared to £10,895 on the basic Giulia Super.
Just something you need to think about when you look at the percentage of list…
*miles per annum (e.g. 24m / 20k = 40,000 miles)
The Total Lease Cost
So I think you can see straight away why I’ve honed in on the Alfa Romeo Giulia Speciale model. It has the lowest percent of list, and it has the lowest overall cost over the course of the term. If you pick a longer-term, the monthly payments would be less, because you are spreading the cost, but if you want the absolute cheapest overall cost rather than the lowest monthly payment, then it is best to get the Giulia Speciale.
Just to add weight to this argument; and by looking at the ‘On The Road’ price, Alfa Romeo themselves see this vehicle as £4000 more expensive than the equivalent ‘Super’ model. We then look at those vehicles compared with the total lease price and what you’re getting for your money. It makes more logical sense to spend just £400 more over the total course of your term to get the Speciale (have a look at the 24m term). There is no logical reason why someone would lease the ‘Super’ model. The cost of the super is £33,330 and you spend £10,895 for the privilege. You can get a car that is worth £37,530 and only spend £400 more at the end of your lease.
Why The Difference In Price?
This is all to do with something called the Residual Value, or RV for short. This is a price that’s assigned to a vehicle at the end of its useable life. So from a leasing perspective, the end of its useable life is at the end of its term, because the leasing company is simply going to sell that vehicle, and it’s going to have another life with another customer. So the end of the useable life from a leasing perspective is essentially however long you lease that vehicle for, and they’re trying to understand the value at the end of the lease.
You will have to make the judgment on whether the additional specification is worth the extra £400 over the course of the term.
